Editorial Methodology
How cards are made
Each card follows a fixed template for its type (method, concept, problem, comparison, or guide) and is checked against a schema before publication. Draft text may be prepared with the help of automated tools; it is then edited and reviewed by a person.
Non-English versions of cards are machine-translated overlays on the English text. The English card is the authoritative version.
Review status
A card is marked reviewed only after a person has read it against its sources. Cards that have no linked sources do not display the Decision Ready badge.
Source hierarchy
Where a claim needs support, sources are preferred in this order: primary research literature, then review articles, then established protocols and standards, then manufacturer documentation. Manufacturer sources are used for instrument specifications and should be read as vendor claims rather than independent findings.
Corrections
If you find an error, use the contact link on the card or on this site. Confirmed errors are corrected in the card, and substantive corrections will be recorded in a public correction log.
Independence
Comparisons are written to describe trade-offs, not to promote products. If sponsorship or affiliate links are ever added, they will be clearly labelled and will not influence which methods are recommended.
